Our process
1. Fill in the contact form or email us directly at hello@verycivilengineers.com Please give us as much information as you can so we can reply quickly to provide you with a fee and timescale. If we need any additional information we will be in touch. Note you can zip up files if you need to send several documents - or send one and when we reply you can add the rest :)
2. We issue our invoices using Paypal so you can pay by card, transfer or through your own paypal account (you don’t have to have a Paypal account though). We charge up front, as we are so quick, but we give you a 10% discount as a thank you for the early payment.
3. We will then go about our engineering business and be in touch when we are finished and the information is ready or if we need any further information. The calculations will be emailed to you in pdf format and we guarantee getting you building regulation approval in relation to our bits of your project. We now use a digital calculation sheet for all of our written calculations so we print even less and can easily makes amendments should you need them-
4. We collect reviews on trustpilot as we want to have total confidence in our service and we understand you don’t know us the first time you appoint us. Hopefully you will go away saying what a great service you had and we will be saying ´what a great client!´.
5. Even after we have issued the information we are more than happy to tweaks things or run some alternative sizes. Prices for materials are crazy at the moment so we happy to do this to help our clients. We really are as friendly and professional as we say so get in touch today!
What we accept:
Ideally we are sent CAD or PDF drawings but this isn’t essential as we happily receive photos, photos of sketches, videos or just simple descriptions via email, whatsapp or text. Don’t be intimadated as we will help you if you are unsure.
When you first contact us we will provide you with a contact mobile number you can use. Obviously if you would prefer a call back and to speak to an engineer in person just let us know and we will ring you back; we are friendly, professional and do this all day, every day.
What we issue:
We issue all our information, whether it be drawings, calculations or reports, in PDF format. If you want any other format or a hard copy just let us know. For structural calculations we usually have a document with hand written calculations along with computer output followed by sketch plans showing the arrangement. Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies typically consist of an individual drawing or report, again in PDF form.
We issue this way as we are taking our green credentials very seriously and now produce all our hand written calculations on a digital calculation sheet which means we very rarely print a thing!
We also plant a tree for every project that we complete 🌳🌲🌳
Our promise to you:
We want you to be delighted with our service and we will support you with any issues you have. Queries come up, especially during the build process, and we are happy to speak with builders, contractors or building inspectors etc to clarify anything. With Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies we will liaise with the Environment Agency or Local Authority as necessary. Site Visits:
Our business model is set up to offer online engineering design and to cut out the site visit and meeting element of this type of work. Clearly this doesn’t work in every case and you may wish to appoint a locally based engineer; we fully understand this. As our engineering team grows however we cover more and more areas so please get in touch and we will see if we can help.
